My Spring Beauty Gym Bag Essentials

My Spring Beauty Gym Bag Essentials

Bring on spring | my spring gym bag must have beauty products !

Spring is in the air and its almost time to ditch the parkas and embrace the warm weather. This is the time of year when we realize how close summer is and hit the gym in anticipation of those beautiful beach days. i Thought i would share my spring beauty gym bag essentials.

The products below are the must have products in my gym bag . I take these to the gym and pretty much to most places.

 Spring Beauty gym bag essentials

Nyx Cosmetics Tinted moisturizer $12 or AlumierMD Moisture Matte Sunscreen ($60) :

Through spring and summer for day to day makeup I tend to ditch foundation and wear either tinted moisturizers or  now I have found a tined sunscreen which I am head over heels for . It’s good to wear more light weight products . I always find if I wear a lot of foundation through the summer my skin has a freak out and my pores get clogged. My favourite tinted sunscreens are AlumierMD moisture matte spf40 in ivory or the AlumierMD sheer hydration in universal tint.My favourite tinted moisturizer is from Nyx Cosmetics in the shade buff.

Deciem Photography Foundation in Golden Tan $21 :

I really love this product I know it is called foundation but I would consider this as more of a foundation mixer. I love to add this to foundations, it adds a beautiful bronze sheen to your skin. I also love to pair this with a tinted sunscreen to just make my skin look glowing and healthy.  This product also works really great if you add it to your moisturizer for legs/arms for a total body glow!

M.A.C Cosmetics strobe cream in goldlite $33:

I love the strobe creams by mac I think they give a great subtle highlight when applied under or over foundations. This can  also be used alone for a very natural glow. I tend to put this on my cheek bones, collar bone, brow bone and shoulders. (I am a little extra with the glow but hey that’s my style).

Aquaphor $10  :

This is a great product to help sooth cracked skin ( heal the damage from winter) and this is my holy grail for my lips. I  use this almost everyday , Matte lipsticks last all day and are great but they dry your lips out . This product has a vaseline consistency but works amazingly. This is one of the products if I had to choose 5 things to take if I was stranded on a island, Aquaphor is probably the first thing I would say.

Mary Kay Cosmetics Lip Oil $19 :

This is part of a new launch from Mary Kay that i reviewed last week. These lip oils though I have not stopped wearing since I received them. This is a beautiful hydrating sheer lip oil it feels very similar to glosses but without the stickiness. ( for full review of this products click here)

E.L.F Cosmetics Aqua Primer Mist $8 USD:

This is a newer product that I have been using for a a few weeks. I can already tell I am going to love this for the spring and summer. The primer mist feels so hydrating but it is a little sticky, which is good because makeup will stick well to it and stay in place. This is not would not recommend this to wear alone , I do wear some luminous primers even without makeup for a fast, easy and healthy glow. This is not the primer to do that with. I really like this primer and for less than $10 I am pretty impressed.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Tropical $8.76:

I don’t even think this one needs an introduction but this is one of my gym bag essentials! I just love the smell of this one its so tropical and gets me into summer mode. This dry shampoo does have a white cast so for us darker haired beauties it can look a little weird if you don’t really work it in. I have tired other brands and I always come back to this one because it smells so yummy. I get mine from shoppers drug mart but they are available at most drug stores.

Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray $31:

I have been using this surf spray for probably 2+ years. No other products give me the same natural beachy waves that this one does. I really like this product because my hair is wavy naturally and if I add this to my wet hair it just helps get those natural, messy, beachy waves. This products is $31 and available at Sephora among other salons ( I even have the travel size in my gym bag).

Tarte Cosmettic Brazilliance plus Self tanner $47:

One of my fav sunless tans so far is by Tarte Cosmetics it’s beautiful and vegan. The Brazilliance tan really nourishes my skin and I didn’t get the bumps on my under arms that I usually get from self tanning products (I am sensitive). I know this tan is pricey but I mean it works with the quality of some of the way more expensive tans .

My best friend saw mine and got one a few weeks later she loves it too. Fair skinned beauties you will love this, I know sometimes with paler skin tanners can be too dark but this one is perfect. If you like that super (fake bake style ) tan than I think this wouldn’t be good for you but if you like a natural tan this is the best one I have tried so far.

My Spring Beauty Gym Bag Essentials

TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo , conditioner , serum and heat protector ($6-$10 ea):

I have really come to like the fresh feeling when i use these products. I don’t find they strip my hair colour as much as many other shampoo’s and conditioner. TRESemme Keratin Smooth serum really adds moisture to my ends as the ends of my hair is very dry from all the hair dye. The heat protector spray helps to protect your hair from the flat irons and blow dryers we expose our hair to on a regular basis.

TRESemme Keratin Smooth Hair care ( i do put these into smaller travel bottles so they don’t take up so much space)

Creme of Nature – Argan Oil Strength and shine leave in conditioner $6.39 :

As i mentioned above my hair is dry so it gets tangled very easily. This spray is a god send to get out all the knots without ripping all my hair out . I have used this products for over a year and i have yet to find anything that compares.

Ponds makeup removing wipes :

These are my fav cleansing wipe since i was 16. These have never let me down and no matter how many other wipes i try none work for me so gently like these do.

AlumierMD SensiCalm Cleanser $55:

SensiCalm From AlumierMD is the most gentle face wash i have ever used that still makes my skin feel clean. My skin tends to get agitated when i work out from the heat. When i am done with my workout and i use this on my face it feels so gentle and calms right down.

The packaging is also very good for putting in a gym bag or traveling, because the cap twists and locks. When it’s locked it’s air tight so the product doesn’t spoil and also will not end up all over your gym bag.

My Microfiber cloths with my AlumierMD Sensiclam Facial Cleanser

Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre $28usd :

This has been a ride or die day cream for me for a long time . I think i have been using this cream for a few years and i really love it for a day cream ( i use different creams at night ). The smaller style tube makes it perfect for your gym bag or purse and it really helps me with my dry skin.
