What is in the little red box!!!
Influenster sent me their latest Vox Box to put Shiseido Products to the test !
Influenster is a great app/site that sends out Vox boxes with deluxe samples of new products to try . This time I was sent a vox box by Shiseido which contained 4 Sample products. I have tried these products out for a period of 2 weeks so I could give you an honest review.
The Shiseido Products:
Shiseido Ibuki smart filtering smoother :
This is a fancy name for a smoothing primer essentially this products claims to reduce the appearance of pores while giving you photo ready skin. I am always skeptical about smoothing primers as most tend to be drying and as I have dry skin anyway it’s usually headed for a flaky mess but this product didn’t dry me out at all and really did make my skin appear and feel smoother. This primer works great under makeup and I did see some added wear time on my makeup before it started to fade.
Shiseido Ultimune power Infusing Concentrate:
This serum claims to help “reignites the skin’s inherent multi-defensive power and protects skin with a dynamic shield, to resist further damage.
With continued use, skin’s inner power is maintained, preserving your youthful appearance.” I know this product is over $100 and to be honest I don’t really notice a difference. I don’t find it works for me all it does is irritate my eyes . This ultimune power infusing concentrate isn’t my cup of tea.
Shisedo Ibuki Quick Fix mist:
This spray is designed to refresh your skin even over makeup so your skin looks its best all day long while controlling oil so you aren’t shiny. Shiseido formulated this with Marjoram Extract which is an herb that helps target dehydration and added anti-shine complex to help make your skin appear smoother. Out of all three products this one is my favourite by far. I loved the fresh feeling this was my best friend after the gym. When you spray this on your face it instantly feels minty and tingly and makes your skin look awake.
These item can be purchased at Shiseido or at the bay or shoppers drug mart and sephora for those in the us.
Would I purchase these products? ….
The answer to that is no , my reason is simple these could be the most amazing products on the planet but because they test on animals I would not buy these. If ethics isn’t an issue for you the Ibuki smart filtering smoother and the Ibuki quick fix mist are good Products. The Ultimune however isn’t something I enjoyed so I cant recommend it.
They did also include a postage paid #sharebeauty post card to send to a friend. To remind them of why you think they are beautiful ,which I thought was an amazing idea on the part of Influenster and Shiseido.
They also included a sleeping mask which I had an allergic reaction to so I can’t say if it is good or not. After i applied the mask had to rinse it off after less than 5 minutes because I was so itchy.
I hope you guys enjoyed this review and I apologize for not posting on Thursday. I am currently dealing with some health issues which unfortunately sometimes overtakes my life no matter how hard I fight against it.
Have you gotten a vox box yet? let me know how you liked yours/ which one did you get… are any of these products you favourite? let me know on social media or in the comments !love you guys !!!!
