Tarte Cosmetics | Makeup Review | Shapetape Concealer and Color Splash Lipstick

Hello Beauties,

Recently I seem to be seeing these two products everywhere so me being me and getting sucked into “Instagram made me buy it “. If you can’t already guess it’s the Tarte Cosmetics Shape tape ( kind of hard to get in Canada only available on Tarte’s website) and the color splash hydrating lipstick in “beach babe”.

So after waiting the agonizing week and a bit to receive it I have been playing around with these two non stop to really put these to the test.

Tarte Color Splash Hydrating Lipstick in” Beach Babe”$27 CDN

Beach Babe

Tarte Cosmetics made the nude of all nudes in my opinion i LOVE the colour. This is the perfect neutral peachy nude that I will be rocking all summer long! The perfect lipstick for day or night in my opinion (pairs amazingly well with Kylie cosmetics Candy k lip liner or Nyx lip liner in Natural).

Tarte Cosmetics formula is very comfortable and hydrating but remember this is a “traditional lipstick” it is not a liquid lipstick so this is not kiss proof or super long lasting ( you will need to re apply after eating etc.)The price may seem a little high but i think it’s a fair price considering other high end brands charge up $60. All in all I really love this lipstick and I really don’t have anything bad to say except maybe the wear time but again this doesn’t claim to be long lasting. I have never found a more comfortable formula than this one. I cant speak for the other shades but if they are anything like this one they will be a great buy.

Now this product got so much air time I almost didn’t want to review it but once again don’t let me get bored with access to a phone and my credit card. So I picked this one up but to be honest its kind of hard to live up to that amount of “hype “ right ? … Wrong this is every bit a good as people said but … yes there is a but and that is there is a technique that you need to learn with this one . I find it dries down really fast so you need to work quickly , once you learn that bit you will fall in love with it . Coming from the urban decay naked concealer it was an adjustment but it’s well worth it in the long run .

wearing both the shape tape and lipstick in beach babe

Over all I love Tarte Cosmetics as a company I love the ethics behind the fact they are “actually cruelty free “ and they are coming out new Vegan products all the time . This company is one I definitely feel safe supporting and the quality is all the way there. Both the shape tape and they hydrating color splash lipstick are Vegan.

Have the best week
